Aladdin:
- Image 1 is based on settings; temples, pyramids and sand sculptures often appear throughout the movie, the triangle represents a pyramid. I chose the words 'Wealth in the Arabian City of Agrabah' as wealth and money is a huge importance throughout the movie (the reason why Aladdin and Jasmine can't be together at first), and Agrabah is where it is set.
- Image 2 is based on the magic lamp; the lamp plays a huge part in the story line because of its magical powers.
- Image 2 is also based on settings similar to Image 1. I have illustrated a palace similar to how Jasmines Palace looks; sort of like a temple.
The Lion King:
- Image 1 is based on a particular frame in the movie which shows Simba, Timon and Pumbaa cross a tree trunk bridge in the jungle. The brown is the bridge and the blue is the moon. For language I have chosen the famous saying from the book 'Hakuna Matata'
- Image 2 is an illustration of a jungle plant, this represents Simbas time in the Jungle (childhood through to adulthood when he returns home)
- Image 2 is an illustration of a giraffe to represent the animal kingdom within the movie. The movie is all about the lions which is why I wanted to create a piece of visual poetry using a different animal, the animal kingdom is huge.
Cinderella:
- Image 1 is based on Cinderellas glass slipper. The glass slipper is a huge importance to the story line of the book/movie. I have illustrated my idea using song lyrics from the movie; 'A dream is a wish your heart makes'
- Image 2 is based on Cinderellas friendship with the birds that visit her window every morning, the birds are her only friends when she is kept as a slave by her step family.
- Image 3 is an illustration of a crown to represent when Cinderella becomes a princess.
