I have chosen to create a set of 3 postcards based on my photographs of Barcelona typography, using the technique of collage. Throughout the collages, I have combined the 3 categories of typography that I photographed during my trip; contemporary, illustrative and transport based type. These are the categories that I mention in my presentation.
The theme of postcards links to Barcelona as it is such a popular tourist attraction, nearly every shop that I visited sold postcards and other souveniers. I noticed that most of the postcards always consisted of photographs of the popular tourist attractions in Barcelona, so I wanted focused on a more a quirky and unique approach.
