Based on the research that I have done on colour, typography and imagery, I have started to make some designs that could be taken further for the double sided flyer.
At the moment these designs just should what could go on the front, the front needs to have the key information on: the LAU logo, what it is, the name/tagline of the exhibition 'Everything tells a story', the dates and the location. The flyer also contains an opening sentence that will draw people from industry in; 'Leeds Arts University ranks no 1 in The Guardian University League Tables 2019 for Design & Crafts, in the whole of the UK!'.
For the back of the flyer, I think it would be interesting for it to be purely illustration/imagery based, relating to the heavily illustrated designs of children's story books.
Creating these designs today means that I can show Jess and Annie tomorrow so we can discuss more ideas for designs and to get their opinions on if they think this type of design and aesthetic should be developed further next week. They also mentioned that over the past day they have been researching more routes that we could go down through coming up with different ideas that relate with telling a 'story'. We will go over all of this tomorrow.
