Hardback Cover Trial

I have made a quick mockup cover using one of the trial embosses that I have created this week, my stencil works best on white cartridge paper so thats what I used. I glued the cover straight onto the cardboard using PVA glue.

Im not 100% happy with how this turned out as the emboss has flattened a little bit due to the PVA, as well as creating wrinkles in the paper. I will not be using cartridge paper as a hardback cover, instead I will emboss straight into buckram which will hopefully give a better result. I will most probably use red buckram to match the red foiled Arabic text on the inside of the book.
